Mildred Young Olmes
(American b.1906)

A painter, muralist, and craftsperson, Mildred Olmes studied at the Carnegie Institute in Philadelphia, and at the Academie Julian in Paris. She exhibited at the Carnegie Institute (winning a prize in 1927), the Paris Salon, the Art Institute of Chicago, Wichita Women Painters, the Butler Art Institute, the Akron Art Institute, the Corcoran Gallery, the Ohio Watercolor Exhibition, and the Mississippi Art Association. She lived in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and was a member of the Chester County Art Association in Pennsylvania, the National Society of Mural Painters, and the Canton Art Institute in Ohio.
