May Mott-Smith
(American 1879-1952)

May Mott-Smith studied in Paris, San Francisco, and Boston. She was a member of the Women's Painters and Sculptors Society, the California Art Club, and the Society of Independent Artists. She exhibited extensively, included in shows at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Allied Artists of America, the Society of Independent Artists, and the Art Institute of Chicago. She won medals at the Pan-California Expo, and the Pan-Pacific Expo, both in 1915.
