Edith Grace Coombs
(Canadian 1890-1985)
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, she studied at the Ontario College of Art, with G.A. Reid
and J.E.H. McDonald, and at the New York School of Fine and Applied Art. An elected
member of the Ontario Society of Artists, she exhibited frequently, in venues such
as the National Gallery of Canada, the London, Ontario Art Gallery, the Wembly Expo
in England, the Toronto Heliconian Club, and the Women's International Expo in Detroit.
An illustrator and lithographer as well, she is best known for her landscapes and flower
paintings.
